The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"both on the front, back, and
department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro
badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a
Police Officer.
On 6/16/2025 at 1429 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run collision vs an unoccupied vehicle at
around the 15800 block of SE 155th PI.
I called the victim, identified as John J. Torralba (DOB: 08/10/1977), and asked what happened.
Torralba stated that he was leaving his residence in the area in another vehicle he owns when he
looked and saw that the rear tail light and bumper of his 1999 Honda Civic (WA LP: AJY6064) had new
damage. Torralba noted that the tail light was shattered and that there was a significant dent into his
rear drivers side bumper.
Torralba stated that his girlfriend had come home about 10 minutes prior and that she noted that
there was no damage when she had driven by.
Torralba stated that he did not see the incident occur, and noted that there was a vehicle with rear
passenger side damage parked behind his vehicle that may have been involved. I responded to the
scene and based upon the damage to Torralba's vehicle and the damage present on the other
vehicle, I determined that it was highly unlikely that the other vehicle was involved with this specific
collision.
Torralba stated that he does not wish to pursue criminal charges at this time for the crime of hit and
