On 6/17/2025 1 was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for
the City of Renton. I was dispatched to a report of a recent hit and run near Valley Medical
Center located at 400 S 43rd St Renton/King/WA.A witness was calling to report that a black car
had struck a white car and then fled north on SR 167. 1 attempted to call the original caller and
received no answer.
Shortly after,the victim called in to report the hit and run. I met with the driver, identified by her
WADL as Joonhee Redhage DOB: 3/1/1967.Joonhee said that she was driving west on S 43rd St,
in her white 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe WABRL9370, in the number 3 lane. She said that she
realized she needed to turn right into the VMC parking lot. She said that she began to turn and
the vehicle in the number 2 lane stopped and allowed her through, she said as she was crossing
into the number 1 lane she was struck by a black, small vehicle.
Joonhee said she was not injured and advised she could not ID the driver, did not get a license
plate, and was only able to say the vehicle was small and black in color.
Joonhee said she had a dash camera but had not had time to look at it yet. I sent her a link for
Axon Evidence.
Currently there is no suspect information.
At the time this report was completed I had not received the dash camera footage.
Nothing further.
