Portions of this incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured with the recording system. was operating a fully marked Police Tahoe#237 which was equipped with overhead emergency lights and sirens. I was also wearing my department issued Renton Police uniform clearly identifies me as a Police Officer. Case Number 25-5357 On 06/19/2025 at approximately 1800 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run accident that had occurred at the intersection of S Grady Way and Main Ave S,within the City of Renton, King County, Washington. I identified the victim in this call as Heather S Jobe (DOB 07/25/1992) by her WADOL photo. Heather was the sole occupant in her 2016 Honda Civic (WA/LIC: BBR1368 VIN#2HGFC3B33GH358470). Heather advised that she was facing south on Main Ave S where it intersects with S Grady Way and Benson Rd S. Heather was stopped at the redlight on Main Ave S when the vehicle behind her slowly rolled forward and rear ended her vehicle. Heather described the suspect vehicle to me as a black"Boxy" style SUV. She stated that she believed the suspect vehicle was going to pull over as the driver pointed to the side of the road, but the suspect vehicle ultimately fled the scene without exchanging any information. She described the driver of the suspect vehicle as a white male in his early 40's with short dark hair. Heather advised me that she would be able to identify the driver if she saw him again and also stated that she was willing to assist in prosecution. Heather later emailed me dash camera footage. In this footage I am able to clearly read the front WA/LIC: on the suspect vehicle which identifies it as a black 2002 Nissan Xterra (WA/LIC: CMV0082 VIN# 5N1ED28Y22C528944).The dash camera footage shows the driver of the suspect vehicle lean over to his front seat passenger(Unknown description female). As he leans over to his passenger the suspect vehicle begins rolling forward and the front end of the Nissan collides with the rear bumper of the Honda. Heather also had front facing footage which shows the suspect vehicle leaving the scene of the collision. It should be noted that the DOL picture for the registered owner of the Nissan alligns with the driver that Heather desribed. Heather's vehicle sustained very minor damage to the rear bumper and was able to leave under its own power. If the suspect vehicle sustained damage it would be minor.
