The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"both on the front, back, and
department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro
badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a
Police Officer.
On 6/24/2025 at 1503 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run report that occurred at the
intersection of S 3rd St and Burnett Ave S.
The victim, identified as Charnel) M. Perkins (DOB: 07/06/1977), reported that she was facing East on
S 3rd St at the intersection of S 3rd St and Burnett Ave S in the #1 lane which is a right turn only lane.
Perkins told me that she was preparing to perform a righthand turn to proceed South on Burnett Ave
S. Perkins stated that while in the righthand turn lane, the vehicle behind her moved forward and the
front bumper of the suspect vehicle collided with the rear bumper of Perkins' vehicle.
Victim vehicle: 2024 Cadillac CT5 (WA LP: CLV2155)
Suspect vehicle: black Volkswagen Golf(LP: UNK)
Perkins stated that the driver of the suspect vehicle was a younger Asian male with medium length
hair wearing glasses. Perkins stated that the male threw his hands up and then fled the scene without
providing the necessary information outlined in RCW 46.52.020.
Perkins stated that she would be able to identify the suspect if she saw him again and that she is
willing to assist in prosecution. I checked FLOCK and was unable to locate a vehicle nearby within the
timeframe of the collision that matched the suspect in this case.
