Narrative
Unless otherwise noted, all events took place in the City of Renton, in the County of King, in the State of
Washington.
This incident was captured on my body worn video camera and in-car cameras.This report is a summary of
events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
On 6/30/2025, at approximately 2230 hours I was dispatched to a report of a Hit and Run collision at the
intersection of Rainier Ave S and S Grady Way. Dispatch advised 15 minutes ago 2 vehicle hit and run. Suspect
vehicle was unknown and left the scene with and unknown direction of travel.The reporting party is waiting in
the KIA dealership parking lot.
At approximately 2234 hours I arrived on scene. I located the 2020 GMC Acadia (WA LIC CHS6332 VIN:
1GKKNLLS9LZ138715) in the parking lot of the KIA dealership. I noticed damage to the rear driver side bumper.
I contacted the reporting party identified as Miles A. Dunker DOB 7/27/1984 via WADL. Miles is also the
registered owner of the vehicle.
Miles adised the following information. He was not injured in the collision and the vehicle was drivable.
Miles was driving northbound on 167 approaching the intersection of Rainier Ave S and S Gradyway.
Miles was merged over into the left turn lane so that he could turn westbound onto SW Grady Way.As he
was merging into the left turn lane he a vehicles breaks screeching behind him and the felt a vehicle
strike the rear bumper of his car hard enough to move his vehicle into the lane to his left. He pulled into
the KIA dealership waiting for a vehicle to follow but the other vehicle never followed him. He stated he
did not see the vehicle that hit him. He did state that he noticed a blue sedan drive by him as he was
pulling into the dealership parking lot. Miles believed the damage to the blue sedan matched the damage
to his car.
Later, Miles called back and stated he believed he located the blue sedan in the Walmart parking lot.The
vehicle Miles Located was a blue 2008 Hyundai Accent(WA LIC CS5242). However, Miles can't ID the
vehicle that hit him.
I collected Miles's insurance information and provided him with a case number I took photos of the
damage to the car and uploaded them to evidence.com.
If a suspect can be identified there is probable cause for Hit and Run attended
