The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"both on the front, back, and
department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro
badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a
Police Officer.
On 7/2/2025 at 0953 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run collision at the 1300 block of N
Southport Dr.
I met with the victim, identified as Khanh P. Duong (DOB: 10/03/1976) by WA DL, and asked what
happened. Duong stated that he was stopped at a red light facing West on N Southport Dr at around
the 1300 block in the#1 lane.This intersection is with the i405 Southbound on and off ramps.
Duong stated that while stopped, a white BMW X5 (LP: UNK) approached from behind him and the
front bumper of the BMW struck the rear bumper of his 2017 Toyota Camry (WA LP: CRB1037).
Duong stated that the driver then took off and proceeded West on N Southport Dr.
A witness, identified as Jerry V. Fernandez (DOB: 01/06/1978), stated that the driver of the BWM was
either a Pacific Islander or Hispanic male, 25-35 years old with a heavy build. Fernandez stated that
he would be able to ID the driver if he saw him again, and Duong also stated that he would be able to
ID the driver.
Duong showed me that he had dashcam in his vehicle but was unable to show me the incident. I
provided Duong with my card to follow up when he is able to get the video of the suspect vehicle.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.

At this time, the suspect in this case is a Pacific Islander or Hispanic male aged 25-35 years old with a
heavy build.
Duong stated that he is willing to assist in prosecution if we are able to find a suspect in this case.
