CASE NO. 25-5989
Narrative
Unless otherwise noted the following events occurred within the City of Renton, County of King,
State of Washington while I was working uniformed patrol. This report is not an exact
sequencing of events and statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 07/11/2025 at approximately 1148 hours I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run
collision that occurred at the Stonebrook Apartments, 12210 SE Petrovitsky Rd.The victim and
reporting party was verbally identified as Rachel A Perez (DOB 05/10/1985).
Dispatch noted that Rachel was requesting phone contact as the suspect vehicle had left the
complex. I contacted Rachel via phone where she stated the following:
She was waiting behind a Mercedez ML at the exit to Stonebrook Apartments when it
reversed into her vehicle, causing a collision.The Mercedez had moderate damage to its
rear bumper, and there was minor cosmetic damage to her own vehicle.The driver,
described as a bald black man, medium build, between 5'9" and 6'00", in his 60s,told
her that he did not have insurance. Rachel told him she was going to talk to her husband,
and the suspect drove away. Her dashcam captured the entire incident.
Rachel is willing to assist with prosecution for the crime of Hit and Run. I sent Rachel an AXON
citizen link to upload her dashcam footage.
The suspect description appears to match the DOL photo of the registered owner of the
Mercedez, Ron Stewart (DOB 11/15/1969). However, positive identification is still pending on
Rachel submitting the dashcam footage for me to view.
I provided Rachel with the case number.At this time, Rachel has not yet submitted the dashcam
footage.
