Officer Narrative
Narrative
Unit 1 was traveling behind Unit 2 eastbound on SW Grady Way approaching Rainier AVE S/SR-167 in the
far right, right turn only lane. Traffic for North/South Rainier AVE S/SR-167 had the right of way so Unit 2
slowed and stopped to a yield sign waiting for a break in traffic. Unit 1 did not notice that Unit 2 had
stopped and was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. The front end of Unit 1 struck the rear end
of Unit 2 at low speed causing very minor damage.
Driver 2 attempted to confront Unit 1 while taking cell phone video and Driver 1 can be heard stating he
was going to pull of the side of the road as they were blocking traffic. Driver 1 then fled the scene not
stopping. Driver 2 attempted to follow Unit 1 and took a second photograph of the license plate but soon
Lost Unit 1.
Driver 1 is described as a Hispanic male, 35 years of age,wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans. Driver 2
states if he saw Driver 1 again, he would be able to identify.

This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
