Dear Resident:
This letter is to notify you of upcoming construction work in NE 7th Place (between

Queen Ave NE and NE 6th Place). During television inspection of the sanitary sewer
system in NE 7th Place, the City of Renton's maintenance crew discovered two broken
sections of pipe. The City has contracted with Shoreline Construction Company to
repair these breaks. Construction should begin on Wednesday or Thursday
(October 26 or 27) and will take approximately 4 days to complete.

This letter is to notify you of upcoming construction work in a sanitary sewer easement
adjacent to your property. During a television inspection of the City's sanitary sewer
system that is located in an easement along the property line between 680 and 684
Redmond Ave NE, the City of Renton's maintenance crew discovered a broken section of
pipe. The City has contracted with Shoreline Construction Company to repair this break.
The repair will be performed sometime within the next two weeks. The contractor will
notify you a least one day prior to work starting. This repair work will take
approximately 1 day to complete.

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
SANITARY SEWER REPAIRS 2011 PROJECT
This is to notify you of upcoming construction work in your neighborhood. During
television inspection of the sanitary sewer system, the City of Renton's maintenance
crew discovered broken sections of pipe and the absence of manholes at the end of
three sewer mains in the following locations:
Shelton Ave NE * Adjacent to addresses 683 and 687 Broken pipe repair
* Adjacent to addresses 607 and 611 Broken pipe repair
* Adjacent to addresses 604 Installation of new manhole
NE 7th St * Adjacent to address 3912 Broken pipe repair
NE 6" PI * Adjacent to address 3925 Broken pipe repair and
installation of two new
manholes
The City has contracted with Shoreline Construction Company to repair these breaks.
Construction should begin in the next couple of weeks and will take approximately
seven days to complete.

THE EXISTING PAVEMENT MATERIALS FOR SUNSET BLVD NE VARIES FROM 6" TO
18" DEEP ASPHALT OVER 0" TO 8" DEEP CEMENT CONCRETE. THIS
INFORMATION IS A RESULT OF TEST BORINGS AND INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM
CITY STAFF BASED ON PREVIOUS PROJECTS. THIS INFORMATION IS
APPROXIMATE AND IS PROVIDED TO ASSIST THE CONTRACTOR IN DETERMINING
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SAW CUTTING AND DISPOSAL OF WASTE MATERIALS.
NE SUNSET BLVD HAS BEEN IMPROVED SEVERAL TIMES RESULTING IN A
ROADWAY WITH VARYING THICKNESS OF PAVEMENT.
2. EXISTING UTILITY NOTES
EXISTING UTILITY LOCATION ARE SHOWN ON THE PLANS FOR THE
CONTRACTOR'S INFORMATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT A ONE —CALL
UTILITY LOCATE SERVICE PRIOR TO AND DURING CONSTRUCTION.
3. TEMPORARY STREET RESTORATION NOTES
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PATCH ALL TRENCH CUTS AT THE END OF EACH
WORKING DAY WITH A TEMPORARY ASPHALT PATCH, EXCEPT THE LAST SECTION
OF THE TRENCH WHICH CAN BE COVERED WITH STEEL SHEETS. THESE
PATCHES SHALL BE COMPACTED WITH A ROLLER COMPACTOR TO A DENSITY
WHICH WILL PROVIDE A SMOOTH, FIRM SURFACE FOR VEHICLES. THE PATCHES
SHALL BE MAINTAINED DAILY THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT TO
PREVENT POT HOLING AN RUTS FROM FORMING. ALL POTHOLES, RUTS AND
BUMPS MUST BE REPAIRED IF THE DEFECT EXCEEDS AND INCH IN DEPTH OR
HEIGHT.
