Comment: This letter is in regards to the Notice of Application for Project 3 Plus Empire, for a building
code change at 2900 Lind Avenue SW. This response is late in getting to you as we didn’t receive notice
until the date responses were due. Our apologies for the tardiness, but appreciate your consideration of
our concern.
I own a commercial building across the street from this building in question. While we know it is legal to
operate a marijuana growing and processing facility, I do have some concern about this.
This building is roughly 2 blocks away from a soccer venue which is very family oriented. The area is an
up-and-coming place for additional family venues; i.e., there are proposed plans for the addition of an
amphitheater in the area as well.
As concerned business owners, we would encourage that the building tenants limit their signage to a
name only, not having any outdoor wording that reflects what the building is being used for. Requiring
signage to be extremely discreet, I believe, is in the best interest of all.
