Unless otherwise noted, the following happened within the City Limits of Renton, County of
King, State of Washington.
On 07/18/25 at approximately 2052 hours I was dispatched to take a hit and run report by r hone.
I called the victim, Blake A. Lin (10/20/86)who told me that a 2019 black Jeep Cherokee
WA/CMC7059 had side swiped his car, a blue 2005 Subaru Impreza WA/AIN7430, at the
intersection of Rainier Ave S and SW Sunset Blvd.
Blake told me that he was facing southbound on Rainier Ave S at the SW Sunset Blvd
intersection. He said he heard a car honk its horn behind him.As the light turned green he began
proceeding south through the intersection.The Jeep then pulled up on his passenger side and
swerved into him, causing damage to the passenger side of his vehicle. The Jeep sped off south
on Rainier Ave S and made no attempt to pull over and exchange information. As the Jeep
passed him Blake saw the driver and believes the driver was a black female with braids. He
admits he did not get a good look at the driver. He would not be able to recognize her if he saw
her again. He followed the Jeep and was able to get the license plate. Blake did not have an
estimate for the damage done to his vehicle. He is willing to assist with prosecution if the driver
of the Jeep is arrested.
Based on what Blake told me, if the driver of the Jeep Cherokee can be identified, there is
probable cause for RCW 46.52.020 Duty in case of personal injury or death or damage to
attended vehicle or other property due to the Jeep hitting Blake's car and then leaving the scene
of the accident without exchanging information.
