On 7/17/2025 1 was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for
the City of Renton. I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run which had just occurred in the
100 block of Rainier Ave S Renton/King/WA.Abraham N Deng DOB: 1/1/1979 was calling to
report that someone had backed into his blue 2016 Toyota Prius WA/BXU8855 and fled the
scene.
Abraham was able to get a license plate from the suspect vehicle and advised dispatch that it
was WA/CNL2176 which returned to a black 2001 Lexus RX to a Kenneth Woods DOB:
10/2/1959 to a Seattle address.
I met Abraham at the Brown Bear Car Wash in the 100 block of Rainier Ave S. I could see that the
front bumper and grill area had slight damage, the license plate was also bent. I asked Abraham
what happened, and he said that he was waiting in traffic and the Lexus was in front of him.The
Lexus suddenly backed into him causing the damage before leaving south on Rainier Ave S.
Abraham said that the driver was a skinny black male in his 50s, he advised that he would be
able to identify the driver again and did wish to purse charges.
I looked up Kenneth's DOL photograph and he is a black male,thin build, and 66 years old.
I check LInX(Law Enforcement Information Exchange) and was not able to find a phone number
for Kenneth. His DOL address showed at 6808 S 123rd Seattle WA.
On 7/23/2025 1 submitted a public records request to WADOL to put together a photo montage
including Kenneth. DOL advised they would not put together a montage for a misdemeanor
case.
I completed a photo montage and left a voicemail for Abraham to call me back so we could set
up a meeting time.
On 7/24/2025 1 called Abraham to set up a meeting time to review the photo montage. I asked if
he still wished to pursue charges and he said not because it would take up to much of his time.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
