The existing 4,680-foot in-lake sewer system will be replaced with a new land-based low pressure sewer system serving 56 properties and a public park. The proposed replacement system includes approximately 4,950 linear feet of new force main, 55 individual grinder pump stations, and associated electrical and utility improvements. A King County facility, the Eastside Interceptor (ESI), Section 3 is located adjacent to the project location. (See enclosed record drawing and one line drawing showing the location of the facility in the project vicinity). In order to protect this wastewater facility during construction, WTD requires that City of Renton submit preliminary design drawings for the project, so that WTD can assess its potential impacts. King County has permanent easements for a sewer line in the vicinity of the proposed development site, and must be assured the right to maintain and repair the sewer line.
