Case Number 25-6444
On 07/27/2025 at approximately 1017 hours, I was dispatched to 5321 NE 4th ST within the City of Renton,
King County, Washington to a non-injury hit and run. Dispatch relayed over the radio that 15 minutes ago a hit
and run occurred at the above location and the suspect vehicle drove off without attempting to exchange
information.The reporting party was waiting at the location for contact.
On arrival I located the reporting party who was identified by her WADOL as Marisa Nicole Barta DOB
(08/21/1986), Marisa was waiting outside near her vehicle unit#2 identified as a silver 2020 Hyundai Kona
WA/LIC BRK5668 VIN#KM8K5CA53LU435870, I spoke with Marisa and she said that she arrived at the above
location and was in the process of parking her vehicle in a parking spot in front of Chuck's Donuts located at
5335 NE 4th ST#1 when unit#1 a newer green Volkswagen SUV unknown license plate that was parked next
to her began to reverse out of their parking spot.As unit#1 was reversing,they collided with Marisa's vehicle
and damaged the rear driver's side passenger door. Unit#1 stopped for a second then continued reversing
and drove away from the scene without attempting to exchange information with Marisa. Unit#1 was last
seen driving west towards NE 2nd ST.
Marisa told me that she asked a nearby gas station for the surveillance video, and she recorded the incident
on the phone. ON the video Unit#1 is seen reversing out from their parking spot and colliding with Marisa's
vehicle before driving away and not exchanging information. Marisa said she didn't get a good look at the
driver, but she described her as a white female with her hair up in a bun.When I asked Marisa if she would be
able to identify the female subject if seen again, she said she didn't know. Marisa was not injured during the
incident and her car had minor damage to the driver's side rear passenger door. Marisa provided me with all
the necessary documents, and I provided her with my business card with the case number. I sent Marisa an
AXON link via text message so she can submit the video into evidence. Marisa had no further questions, so I
left the scene and conducted an area check but was unable to locate unit#1.
This concludes my involvement with this case.
