The King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) has received the Certificate of
Exemption for the King County Parks Solar Light Improvement project (LUA25-000196, SME,
CAE) that proposes a Critical Areas Exemption and Shoreline Exemption for the installation of
off-grid, solar lights at six (6) locations: 3501 Lake Washington Blvd N, Renton, WA 98056;
12500 SE 188th Pl, Renton, WA 98058; Eastrail Trail at N 43rd St on the NW and SW corners;
Eastrail Trail at N 41st St; Eastrail at Mountain View Ave N; Boulevard Lane Park; and Lake to
Sound Trail at the railroad tracks near Monster Rd SW (APNs 2924059005, 3224059005,
3124059004, 1423049008, and 3323059057). The proposed lights would have a base that is
two feet (2’) in diameter and would be installed at a depth of approximately nine feet (9’) below
ground surface.
King County, the East Side Interceptor and the North Soos Creek Trunk facilities are
located at each of the 6 locations. (See enclosed record drawings and one line drawings
showing the location of the facility in the project vicinity).
In order to protect this wastewater facility during construction, WTD requires that City of
Renton submit preliminary design drawings for the project, so that WTD can assess its
potential impacts. Please send drawings to:

Please contact the Local Public Agency Program a minimum of 72 hours prior to
commencing any construction to allow time for staff to arrange for a King County Inspector to
be present during construction.
King County has a permanent easement for a sewer line on the proposed development
site, and must be assured the right to maintain and repair the sewer line. In the event that

the line must be relocated, a new permanent easement must be provided. Please contact King

2. CAST-IN-PLACE LINING -Concrete shall be Type C with minimum of 6-112 sacks of

voids outside of liner plate or steel lagging.

the tunnel support shall be spacea at la' olc maximum with at least one hole between
