I was dispatched to a report of a follow-up to a prior hit and run collision which had occurred at LA Fitness at 715 N Landing Way Renton/King/WA.Taehoon Lee DOB: 6/3/1996 was calling to report that someone had hit his vehicle, a red 2019 Honda Civic WA/BPD1116.Taehoon was requesting that police come and check LA Fitness surveillance footage. I met Taehoon at LA Fitness and he explained that sometime the evening of 7/17/2025 his vehicle was hit. He said he believed it was around 2000 hours. He said his vehicle was not occupied at the time of the collision and the damage was to the front driver side bumper/quarter panel area. I met with the Operation Manager who showed me the surveillance footage, Taehoon's red Civic was parked two spaces northeast of the front doors.At 1908 hours a black or gray newer Ram 1500 with black wheels backs into the empty space next to the Civic.The driver takes several attempts to get the vehicle in the space and eventually exits. The driver then walks into LA Fitness and checks in with the front desk at 1912 hours. The driver is described as a white or Hispanic male, 20-40 years old, last seen wearing a black tank top, black shorts, and black backpack. At 2046 hours the Ram turns on and as it exits the parking space it takes a sharp right-hand turn. The passenger side doors collide with the Civic.The truck stops and takes several attempts to get out of the spot before slowly driving north down the parking aisle and pulling into a spot further down.After several minutes the truck slowly drives north near Red Robin and takes an unknown turn. There is a license plate on the truck, but it is not visible on the cameras. I sent the Gym Manager Jeremiah Riel an Axon Link for the footage. On 7/23/2025 1 re-contacted Jeremiah and re-sent the Axon Link, I also advised him of specifically what footage and information I needed. Jeremiah sent the check-in information to Axon. I viewed it and it showed that at on 7/17/2025 at 7:12:58 a male named Antonio Herrera checked in to the LA Fitness in Renton on N Landing Way.Antonio's LA Fitness photograph shows him as a Hispanic male, 30-40 years old. A check of in-house records showed a file for an Antonio Herrera DOB: 9/22/1991. 1 performed a LiNX check, and it showed a Renton address of 633 Burnett Ave S#301. 1 drove to the address to look for the truck but was not able to find it. The picture attached the to the LA Fitness check-in was dark which made it difficult to see defining features of Antonio and the surveillance footage was to far away to use for identification purposes. RPD Front Counter performed a DAPs check and was not able to locate a pickup truck registered to Antonio. On 7/24/2025 1 went back 633 Burnett to try and locate the truck, I was not able to find it in the complex or surrounding streets. I had RPD Records run a DAPs check for the entire complex and was not able to locate a Ram pickup truck registered to the address. I reviewed the check-in sheet provided by LA Fitness and it showed another male check in at 1912 hours. He was identified as Khiet D Ta DOB: 7/2/1965. 1 had RPD Records perform a DAPs check and was not able to locate a pickup truck registered to him. I checked Flock Cameras in the area at on the date of the collision and was not able to find the vehicle. Officer: Nelson, Devin #R12421 Reviewed By: Gall,Jake K Date/Time: 07/29/2025 04:33 Collision 2025-00006180 Paqe 3 OF 4 Case Number 2025-00006180 Officer Narrative-Continued Between 7/25/2025 and 7/29/2025 1 checked both LA Fitness and 633 Burnett Ave S for a black Ram 1500 and was not able to locate one with matching damage at either location. On 7/29/2025 1 called Antonio, I asked him if he owns or was driving a back Ram 1500 and he said no. I asked if he was in a small collision in the LA Fitness parking lot and he said no. He admitted to being at the gym all the time but denied ever driving or owning a truck. He said he only owns a Honda Civic and Hyundai Palisade. He also denied ever having borrowed or Ram 1500. 1 then checked the subject who checked into LA Fitness at 1913 hours directly after Antonio.The name provided by LA fitness was Satendra Kumar, a LiNX check identified him as Satendra Kumar DOB: 5/30/1966. 1 had RPD Records perform a DAPs check for Satendra and it only showed a 2009 Ford F150 registered to him WA/C95850W, a color was not listed. At this time, I have not been able to identify a suspect or locate the suspect vehicle. This case is closed pending new information.
