On July 29, 2025, at 1235 hours dispatch requested that I contact a victim of a recent hit and run
that occurred near the intersection of Rainier Ave S and Airport Way, in the city of Renton,
county of King, and state of Washington.The reporting party stated that a grey colored sedan
struck the back of his vehicle and then fled the scene.
Upon contact I spoke with the driver of unit 2, an Isuzu box truck bearing Washington plates
D83966E. The driver, identified as Jamar S. Gaines (04/14/1993), stated he was facing
westbound on Airport Way at the intersection of Rainier Ave S.While waiting at the traffic light,
he felt a jolt to the back of his vehicle.Jamar exited his vehicle and noticed that a grey sedan had
just struck his rear bumper, slightly bending the metal frame.
Jamar spoke with the driver of the grey sedan and advised him to move away from the roadway
and park at the McDonalds nearby. Both agreed, so Jamar parked in the parking lot. As he placed
parked his vehicle, he noticed that the other driver decided to flee by continuing southbound on
Rainier Ave S.
Jamar stated he could not identify the suspect vehicle, but said it was smaller than a SUV. I
assumed he meant a sedan.Jamar said the vehicle was grey in color with front end damage and
described the driver as a "Charley Murphey" look alike.
I asked if the suspect was a black mate in his 50's. He said yes. Jamar said the male had light
facial hair.
I checked Flock to see if I could identify the vehicle, but I was unable to locate any vehicles
matching the description given Jamar.
I provided Jamar with my contact information and case number.
Currently, I do not have any additional information, so this case is closed.
