The results are as follows: 1. Concrete for thrust blocks, curbs/gutter — APPROVED 2. Meter vaults with hatches and covers — APPROVED — Except vault cover The cover slab shows a 6'-0" x 4'-0" block -out opening for the hatch opening. This opening should be a 7'-0" x 5'-0" block -out clearance according to plan sheet C-2 and sheet C-3. The City of Seattle requested that when the hatch is in open position they need at least a 7'x 5' clearance opening for water meter maintenance and safe operating of the valves. The adjustable cover slab overall size should be 8'-0' x 6'-0" to accommodate the required 7'-0" x 5'-0" hatch opening. Other parts of this plan are approved. — Resubmit with vault lid detail 3. Cathodic Protection — APPROVED 4. Asphalt Paving — APPROVED 5. Crushed Surfacing Top Course — APPROVED 6. Pipe Zone Bedding — APPROVED 7. Gravel Backfill — APPROVED 8. Piping, Spools, Fittings, Gate valves - PENDING BOEING'S APPROVAL In this section all materials are approved except Mueller 2360 series gate valves. We are waiting for the Boeing Co. for approval on these gate valves. Meter vaults with hatches and covers — APPROVED — Except vault cover The cover slab shows a 6'-0" x 4'-0" block -out opening for the hatch opening. This opening should be a T-0" x 5'-0" block -out clearance according to plan sheet C-2 and sheet C-3. The City of Seattle requested that when the hatch is in open position they need at least a 7'x 5' clearance opening for water meter maintenance and safe operating of the valves. The adjustable cover slab overall size should be 8'-0' x 6'-0" to accommodate the required T-0" x 5'-0" hatch opening. Other parts of this plan are approved. — Resubmit with vault lid detail 3.
