The first one is to install bond wires between the fittings at the meter station. I believe we need bond wires between fittings 5, 28, 6, 15 & 34. The second item is the coating on the new pipe and fittings. We had requested via Jerry Duppong's comments the following coating be provided; A 100% solids coating can be used (similar to the Madison Chemical product used on the existing 14-inch pipe). A second product that would be suitable for this application is a heat fused polyethylene coating. The polyethylene coating would be a good application for this project and could be used for all pipe and fittings in both buried and vault exposure conditions. The nominal thickness of the heat fused polyethylene coating should be 30 mils. The City of Seattle has developed a specification for this product and would be acceptable for this project.
