Project: Kennydale Lakeline Sewer System Improvement Project
The City of Renton is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified Construction
Management (CM) firms for the Kennydale Lakeline Sewer System Improvement Project (KLSSIP),
with an estimated construction cost of $10.7 million. The project is located in the Kennydale
neighborhood along Lake Washington.
KLSSIP will replace an aging in-lake sewer line, originally constructed in 1972, with a new land-
based grinder pump system serving 57 homes and Kennydale Beach Park. Currently in final design,
construction is anticipated to begin spring 2026 and continue for 18 to 24 months.
The selected CM firm will act as an independent contractor, supporting City staff from final design
through construction and project closeout.
Project goals include:
•Completing the project on schedule and within budget.
•Ensuring long-term, reliable, and sustainable sanitary sewer service for the Kennydale
community.
•Protecting the environmental health of Lake Washington.
•Minimizing disruption to residents and the natural environment during construction.
•Implementing the project using the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) Envision
framework.
