DLState DLExp Address Primary Phone&Type AdditionalContact Number&Type Additional Contact Number&Type Race Sex DOB- Height Weight Even Hair Collision 2025-00006758 Paqe 2 OF 6 Case Number 2025-00006758 Officer Narrative Narrative ASSIGNMENT/ARRIVAL On 08/04/2025 at approximately 1338 hours, I was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision in the 800 block of SW Sunset Boulevard in the city of Renton, King County,Washington. This incident initially began as a hit and run investigation, but changed to a collision investigation when the driver returned to the scene on foot to exchange information. UNIT 1:JEEP LIBERTY I located a silver 2007 Jeep Liberty(WA/CGS0141, Unit 1) in the parking lot of the Alaire Apartments at 600 SW 5th Court north of the H-Building. Unit 1 had been moved from its point of rest prior to my arrival. Unit 1 had moderate damage to the front-passenger bumper, engine compartment, and fender. UNIT 2:TOYOTATUNDRA I located a silver 2018 Toyota Tundra (WA/C97642N, Unit 2) pulled to the south shoulder in the 800 block of SW Sunset Boulevard. Unit 2 had not been moved from its point of rest prior to my arrival. Unit 2 had minor damage to the rear-driver bumper and taillamp assembly. DRIVER 1: CRESPO,JESUS A. I contacted Jesus A. Crespo (DOB: 05/25/1995) at his apartment, 600 SW 5th Court#H-206. I identified Crespo by his valid Washington Driver License. I established Crespo as the driver of Unit 1 by his admission. Crespo was not injured in the collision. DRIVER 2: SAESERE KOY L. Saesere (DOB: 08/12/1964) near Unit 2. 1 identified Saesere by his valid Washington Driver License. I established Saesere as the driver of Unit 2 by his admission. Saesere was not injured in the collision. PASSENGER: SAEPHANH NYING F. I contacted Nying F. Saephanh (DOB: 07/06/1970) near Unit 2. Saephanh was the front-right passenger in Unit 2. Saephanh was not injured in the collision. STATEMENT: SAESERE, KOY L. I spoke with Saesere about the collision.The following is a summary of our conversation: Saesere drove Unit 2 east in the 800 block of SW Sunset Boulevard in the number one (closest to curb) lane. Unit 2 was suddenly struck on the rear-driver side by Unit 1, which traveled slightly behind Unit 2 in the number two lane. Unit 2 continued east on SW Sunset Boulevard after the collision but the driver, Crespo, later walked back to the scene and exchanged information with Saesere. This concluded my conversation with Saesere. STATEMENT: CRESPO JESUS A Officer C. Catalan spoke with Crespo about the collision and told me Crespo was tired from working three jobs back-to-back and fell asleep, causing Unit 1 to collide with Unit 2. Crespo's actions were the proximate cause of the collision, specifically Crespo's violation of RCW 46.61.140(1),which states, in part: Whenever any roadway has been divided into two or more clearly marked lanes for traffic the following rules in addition to all others consistent herewith shall apply: (1) Avehicle shall be driven as nearly as practicable entirely within a single lane and shall not be moved from such lane until the driver has first ascertained that such movement can be made with safety. Crespo drove Unit 1 on a divided roadway with clearly marked lanes and failed to drive Unit 1 as nearly as practicable entirely within a single lane, and moved Unit 1 from the lane without first ascertaining the movement could be made with safety. CITATION I issued Crespo a citation for his violation of RCW 46.61.140 (Citation #5A0688582) and filed it with the Renton Municipal Court. DISPOSITION I photographed both vehicles.The parties exchanged information. This concluded my involvement in this case.
