On 8/12/2025 1 was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for
the City of Renton. I was at 1055 S Grady Way Renton/King/WA and was flagged down about a hit
and run which had just occurred. Frank R Lofting DOB: 4/22/1959 had driven to the police
station to report a hit and run.
Frank said that he was driving south on Park Ave N just before N 3rd St, he said that as he was
slowing down for traffic he was rear-ended by another vehicle. Frank said that the other vehicle
was a black Chevrolet or Hyundai driven by a white male 35-40 years old. He said that the
suspect driver fled the scene east on N 3rd St.The damage to the suspect vehicle would be the
front bumper.
Frank showed me damage to the rear bumper of his black 2020 Honda CRV WA/DP85004.
Frank said that he was not injured and did not require aid.
Frank believed he may be able to identify the suspect driver if seen again and did wish to press
charges if located. Frank added that the other vehicle had a temporary tag in the back window.
I provided Frank with a case number, and he left the scene.
I checked traffic cameras and was not able to locate any footage of the collision.
I checked Flock cameras, and they also did not yield any results that matched the description
and time frame provided.
Nothing further.
