Subject:RE: Party of Record/Public Comments Submitted
Hi Robert –
Thank you for your comment regarding the traffic, access to the site, and the existing fence. Our
engineers will be evaluating the potential for any traffic impacts related to this use and will see your
comments. With regards to the fence, I do not know what the applicant’s plans are at this time. However,
I will make them aware of the security concerns. Security is a high priority at most day care facilities we
evaluate, so I expect they’ll have a plan in place using a combination of physical barriers and security
cameras.
If you’d like to discuss in more detail, please let me know and I’d be happy to give you a call.
Thank you,
ALEX MORGANROTH, AICP, Principal Planner

Comment: 1) RE: Traffic - Currently the Access Road is a two-way driveway servicing both the senior
living home and the private residence behind. It is stated on the plan that there will be a new one-way
traffic flow for the school. How will this new one-way flow impact the current method of entering and
exiting the existing driveway / access road?
2) RE: Traffic - How will the increase in traffic volume entering the Access Road by Radiance School
clients impact the flow of traffic on Sunset Blvd? (people turning right and those using the center left turn
lane) Based on this, what will be the impact to those trying to enter Sunset Blvd from the existing
driveway (Access Road) while the traffic volume from Radiance School is up?
3) RE: Safety - A secured locked gate has remained on the property (3507) for the last 25 years. Before the
secured locked gate, there was much suspicious activity behind the building. Is there a plan in place to
help prevent this kind of activity?
