DL State DLExp Address Primary Phone&Type AdditionalContact Number&Type Additional Contact Number&Type Race Sex DOB- Hei ht Weight Eves Hair Collision 2025-00007068 Paqe 2 OF 4 Case Number 2025-00007068 Officer Narrative Narrative On 08/13/2025, 1 was working uniformed patrol in a marked police car as 3R23.At approximately 2130 hours, officers were dispatched to a non-injury/non-blocking accident at the intersection of NE 4th St/Duvall Ave NE,which is located within the city limits of Renton, County of King, Washington. Dispatch advised that there was an accident at the location, and the caller believed the other person was going to leave. Dispatch also mentioned that the caller was working through a language barrier,which slowed the information gathering. When I arrived at the location, I located the involved parties as listed above just north of the intersection, both facing southbound. I identified all units and their respective passengers as listed above. No one was injured, and both vehicles were drivable. I asked both units to pull into the nearby QFC parking lot, and I spoke to them there. I was able to speak to the driver and sole occupant of Unit 1. My conversation with him is summarized as follows: Unit 1 stated he was pulling out of the nearby QFC parking lot to head southbound on Duvall Ave NE. Unit 1 stated he was leaving out of one of the exits from the Duvall Ave NE side of the QFC parking lot.As Unit 1 was taking a left-hand turn to head southbound on Duvall Ave NE, he realized he was not able to take a left.There was a median that was blocking Unit 1's way. Unit 1 stated he tried to go around the median to continue to make his left-hand turn to head southbound on Duvall Ave NE,when he suddenly saw Unit 2 approach from his right (southbound traffic). Unit 1 then stated that its rear driver's side bumper was tapped by the front driver's side bumper of Unit 2. 1 took a look around Unit 1. 1 saw that his rear driver's side bumper area had a small, discolored scratch on it. No airbags had deployed inside his vehicle. Unit 1 also stated he was uninjured. I then spoke to the driver of Unit 2. 1 spoke to him via the Spanish language line. He mentioned that Unit 1 was attempting to turn left onto Duvall Ave NE from one of the exits coming out of QFC. Unit 2 stated that Unit 1's lights were not on. Unit 2 then stated that its front driver's side bumper tapped the rear driver's side bumper of Unit 1. I took a look around Unit 2. 1 saw that his front bumper was slightly hanging lower than usual. No airbags had deployed in his vehicle. No one inside Unit 2's vehicle was reported to be injured at the time of the incident. Unit 2 mentioned that the vehicle was new and did not have insurance on it yet. Both parties were provided with a Renton PD business card with the associated case number. Both parties were able to leave the location in their vehicles. At this time,this report is for informational purposes only to document the incident. This concludes my report.
