UNIT 02: VICTIM VEHICLE: 2025 Toyota Camry bearing WA/ CPZ5246 (white in color) moderate
damage to the rear driver's side door and 1/4 panel -operable. Insurance; Unknown (RENTAL

*This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that
occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and
summarized. *
On 08.14.2025, at approximately 2107 hours, I was dispatched to a hit and run, non-injury collision at
the intersection of Main Ave S. and S. 3rd ST., in the City of Renton, WA, the County of King.
At the time of this incident, I was assigned to uniformed marked patrol in the City of Renton, WA, the
County of King. I was operating a fully marked Renton Police Chevy Silverado#314, equipped with
"POLICE" markings, interior lights, and audible siren. I was wearing my department-issued uniform,
including a fully equipped duty belt, exterior ballistic vest with "POLICE" stenciled on the front and
back and Renton Police badge affixed to the left breast. I was also wearing my department-issued
jumpsuit with "POLICE" patches on both shoulders and across the rear shoulders. It would be
immediately obvious to any reasonable person I was a police sergeant. I was assigned as the
graveyard patrol sergeant for the north end of the city, 6r20.
At the time of this collision, it was overcast and dark, the streetlights were illuminated, the roadways
were wet and free from debris. It was approximately 68 degrees and raining steadily.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.

Officer Narrative-Continued
I initially contacted the victim/reporting party via phone (listed above); however, she was extremely
upset so I responded to the parking lot near 221 Main Ave S. and made in-person contact.
I arrived on scene at approximately 2116 hours and met with the driver of Unit 02, listed above. She
was visibly upset and crying but repeatedly declined aid and stated she was not injured. Unit 02's
driver was operating a white in color Toyota Camry rental car, traveling northbound on Main Ave S.,
and stated as she was approaching the intersection with S. 3rd ST, she was in the far-right lane of
travel and wanted to change lanes into the lane indicated for straight thru traffic. Unit 02 felt she had
enough room to change lanes safely, but was struck by Unit 01, who was occupying that lane. Unit 02
had damage to the driver's side rear door and panel but was operable.
Unit 01 was described only as a `lifted' dark blue in color Dodge Ram pickup truck, UNKNOWN
DRIVER DESCRIPTION, UNKNOWN LICENSE PLATE NUMBER.
After the collision, Unit 01 continued northbound on Main Ave S., and Unit 02 pulled over in the
parking lot and contacted the police.
Unit 02's driver was given the case number and advised there would be no follow-up on this case.
*No follow-up is warranted as there is no suspect vehicle license plate. If a suspect license plate is obtained, it
is still not possible to identify the suspect driver.
