Residents will arrive at 7:45pm - 10pm Working with: Volunteers, HOA, City of Renton Neighborhood Programs, FunFlicks Movie Rental Why: It draws our neighborhood & others nearby closer together by creating a inclusive community The hardest challenge LaCrosse HOA has is recruiting volunteers to the Board that are diverse. We currently have an all white Board of 5. Our neighborhood is 60% Asian, 30% white, 10% other. It would be nice to recruit member that reflect our community. Planning these events allows us the opportunity to recruit. A committee has been organized to help with the vision of the event, the action items needed to comple before (decide on a movie, activities, etc), during (set-up, oversee activities, etc) and after (clean-up). The committee also recruits volunteers. We normally remind high schoolers on the neighborhood that and easy way to earn their community service hours required to graduate.
