I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run collision which had occurred near Popeyes located at 105 SW 7th St Renton/King/WA. Kendra M Luther DOB: 8/28/1987 was calling to report that someone had struck her 2015 Lexus RX WA/CKW5983 and fled the scene. Kendra said that this occurred on a main street near Popeyes, and she followed the suspect vehicle for several minutes. She said that the suspect vehicle drove through Fred Meyers parking Lot before heading south on Oaksdale Ave SW and west on S 180th St into Tukwila. Kendra said that she had been slowing down for traffic when the other vehicle rear-ended her causing minor damage and no injuries. She was able to get a license plate of WA/BWH5536 which returned to a gray 2015 Nissan Altima to Jose Moran Castro DOB: 8/2/1975. Kendra said that as she was following the suspect vehicle, the driver produced and handgun and waved it out of the window at her. Kendra and her passenger,Yasmin R Lynch DOB: 8/2/2007 described the suspect driver as a Light skinned or Hispanic mate, 25-30 years old, wearing a hat and glasses. The registered owner is much older than the described suspect. I performed a LiNX check of Jose and located a phone number, I attempted to call the number and did not receive an answer. KCSO went to Jose's registered address of 16639 34th Ave S SeaTac WA and did locate the vehicle in the driveway but did not make contact. Yasmin said she could ID the suspect driver if seen. Officer Myers completed a felony harassment report under the same case number. Nothing further.
