EG21440 CASE# 25-7036 OATS OF COLLI r�510NN + 08/12/25 23:40 L1 NARRATIVE 25-7036 This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized. On 08-13-2025 1 was working as a police officer in the city of Renton. At approximately 0715 hours I was dispatched to the report of a hit and run at the intersection of N 6th ST and Logan Ave N, City of Renton, County of King, WA. This incident was captured on my department issued Axon body camera. According to the notes in the call, a vehicle had run over a Metro bus stop sign. The vehicle had left the scene, however, the bumper with the license plate was still at the location. I arrived on scene and spoke with a Metro Transit Supervisor, who verbally identified himself as Michael Dennis. He stated the following: Michael had been sent to look at a damaged Metro Transit bus stop sign, that appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. The vehicle had left the scene. Michael was unsure exactly when this had happened, but believed it was sometime overnight. Michael stated that in the collision, the driver of the vehicle had also damaged an ORCA bus pass reader. Michael estimated it would cost approximately $500- 600 to repair the sign and card reader. The damaged bus stop is #46580. The ORCA card reader displayed serial #401650. 1 ran the plate (WA/BTD5493-grey 2020 Toyota Camry) that was attached to the bumper. It returned clear and was registered to Kim Quyen Thi Tran (DOB 12-09-1969) out of Renton. As we were driving to Kim's address to check for the Toyota, Officer Fajarillo spotted the vehicle. It was parked in the southwest corner of the Top Golf parking lot, located at 780 Logan Ave N. The vehicle was unoccupied and had extensive front-end damage. At least two of the tires were popped, and the front passenger rim had dirt inside of it. There was a note on the driver's side dashboard with the name of the registered owner (Kim) and a phone number. I spoke with the Top Golf operations manager, who verbally identified herself as Meg Jungbluth. Meg stated she had seen the vehicle in the parking lot when she arrived at work this morning but hadn't seen anyone around it. Meg allowed us to view video surveillance from the day prior. At approximately 11:45PM on 08-12-2025, the Toyota Camry could be seen entering the parking lot from Logan Ave N. The vehicle parks, and a smaller female with dark hair can be seen exiting the driver's side of the vehicle. The female can be seen speaking with Top Golf security, before leaving in another vehicle. Meg stated she wasn't sure who the female spoke to, and there were no notes from staff the previous evening. Meg stated she would attempt to figure out who spoke to the female and have them contact me or dispatch. 1 provide Meg with the case number and sent Meg a Community Request link via text for her to upload the surveillance footage. I called the number listed on the paper in the Toyota and spoke with a female who verbally identified herself as Kim (registered owner). She stated the following: Kim had been driving on Logan Ave N, and something ran across the road in front of her. Kim attempted to maneuver around whatever was in the road, which caused her to overcorrect and drive up onto the curb. Kim pulled into the Top Golf parking lot and spoke with Top Golf security who stated she could leave her vehicle there. Kim stated she didn't remember hitting the bus stop sign. I advised Kim that 1 would be writing a collision report which would be sent to her insurance. Kim stated she'd send me her insurance information later because it was in her vehicle, and she was currently at work. 1 provided Kim with my email address, along with the case number and our non- emergency number. I took photos of the bus stop sign, along with photos of the Toyota, and uploaded those onto Axon Evidence. I received confirmation via email on 08-14-2025 that Meg submitted evidence via the provided link. I PAGE 3 OF 5 REPORT NO.
