The Planning Division of the City of Renton has determined that the subject application is complete
according to submittal requirements and, therefore, is accepted for review.
It is tentatively scheduled for consideration by the Environmental Review Committee on September 22,
2025. Prior to that review, you will be notified if any additional information is required to continue
processing your application.
In addition, this matter is tentatively scheduled for a Public Hearing on October 14, 2025 at 11:00AM, by
means of the Zoom video conferencing web application, which includes a phone-in option. The applicant or

NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND PROPOSED DETERMINATION
OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE (DNS) AND PUBLIC HEARING
A Master Application has been filed and accepted with the Department of Community & Economic
Development (CED) – Planning Division of the City of Renton. The following briefly describes the
application and the necessary Public Approvals. A virtual/telephonic public hearing is tentatively
scheduled for October 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM before the Renton Hearing Examiner by means of the Zoom
video conferencing web application which includes a phone-in option. The public is highly encouraged to
attend the meeting by using one of the methods listed below.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant is requesting an Environmental (SEPA) Review and
Hearing Examiner Conditional Use Permit to allow for four (4) existing commercial suites to be used for
social services, which is located at 200 SW 41st St (APN: 125360-0050). The existing two-story commercial
building sits on a lot approximately 35,000 square foot (0.80 acres) in size and is within the Commercial
Arterial (CA) zoning district and Employment Area (EA) land use designation. Primary vehicular access to
the site will continue to be gained from a drive aisle off SW 41st St. The proposal will not include structural
changes or modification to the building exterior. No trees are proposed for removal. According to City of
Renton (COR) Maps, the site is not impacted by critical areas. The applicant submitted a Traffic
memorandum justification letter with the application in association with the Environmental (SEPA) Review.

OPTIONAL DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE (DNS): As the Lead Agency, the City of Renton has
determined that significant environmental impacts are unlikely to result from the proposed project.
Therefore, as permitted under the RCW 43.21C.110, the City of Renton is using the Optional DNS process
to give notice that a DNS is likely to be issued. Comment periods for the project and the proposed DNS are
integrated into a single comment period. There will be no comment period following the issuance of the
Threshold Determination of Non-Significance (DNS). This may be the only opportunity to comment on the
environmental impacts of the proposal. A 14-day appeal period will follow the issuance of the DNS.
