This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized. On 08.23.2025, at approximately 1933 hours, Renton Police Officers were dispatched to a multi- vehicle, blocking collision with injuries in the area of 151 Sunset Blvd N., in the City of Renton, WA, the County of King. At the time of this incident, 1 was assigned to uniformed marked patrol in the City of Renton, WA, the County of King. 1 was operating a fully marked Renton Police Silverado Pickup #314, equipped with "POLICE" markings, overhead interior lights, and audible siren. 1 was wearing my department-issued uniform, including a fully equipped duty belt, exterior ballistic vest with "POLICE" stenciled on the front and back and Renton Police badge affixed to the left breast. 1 was also wearing my department- issued jumpsuit with "POLICE" patches on both shoulders and across the rear shoulders. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person I was a police sergeant. I was assigned as the graveyard patrol sergeant for the north end of the city, 6r20. Officer Jason Turner, who was operating Renton Police Vehicle #313, was one of the first responding units to this collision. At approximately 1933 hours, Officer Turner aired to dispatch he was involved in a collision with another vehicle in the area of the Maple Valley "Y", which is Bronson Way N. and Maple Valley Highway, just west of Sunset Blvd N. responded to the location and met with Officer Turner, and the driver of Unit 02, later positively identified by her WADL as NIBLOCK, HANNAH NOEL (DOB: 08.31.2000; 425/786-7978). Unit 01 was identified as a black/white in color Renton Police Vehicle #313, a Chevy Tahoe bearing WA Exempt Plate/ 61611 D. Unit 01 had moderate damage to the front passenger side bumper, 1/4 panel and passenger door but it was operable. I asked Officer Turner what transpired prior to the collision, and he stated he was traveling eastbound on Bronson Way N., approaching the intersection with Sunset Blvd N., when he viewed the previous collision and was attempting to change lanes from the middle/straight lane to the far-right hand lane. Officer Turner changed lanes and didn't see Unit 02, which was operated by NIBLOCK. Officer Turner confirmed he was not operating with his emergency equipment activated so this is not a fail to yield to emergency vehicle collision. Unit 02 was identified as a dark green in color Toyota Rav4 bearing WA/AIT1029. Unit 02 had extensive damage to the front driver's side bumper, '/ panel and front driver's side tire axel was broken. Unit 02 was inoperable and impounded by Bankers towing. I took photographs of the damage to both vehicles and the photographs were uploaded to AXON evidence under this case number. Further, I completed the damage to City property form via Origami under Incident Report Number: I- 2025-255. All photos have been uploaded into Axon Evidence. 1 emailed Commander Swain and Officer Turner a copy of the report. No injuries were reported.
