This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that occurred
and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 08-24-2025 1 was working as a police officer in the city of Renton. At approximately 1112 hours I ws flagged
down at Renton City Hall for a collision that occurred at the 1300 block of N Southport Dr, City of Renton,
County of King, WA.This incident was captured on my department issued Axon body camera.
The reporting party, Edna K Nyabengi (DOB:04-02-1990), wanted to report a hit and run collision that occurred
at the dispatched address between 0809 and 0812 hours.The vehicle was described as a black 2014 nexus GS
(WA/CAR8497).
The following is an account of events according to Edna. She was driving east from N Southport Dr in the right
lane. She felt a vehicle collide with the driver side front door. She did not see what kind of vehicle hit her nor
did she see the driver.The vehicle was gone from location without stopping to exchange information.
Edna's vehicle had a noticeable dent on the driver side door. I photographed the damage and uploaded the
pictures to Evidence.com. Edna was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was uninjured. Her vehicle was
drivable.
I provided Edna with a case number.
According to the facts regarding this case,there was not enough information to establish probable cause for a
suspect in this hit and run.
There is no further information available at this time.
