On August 26, 2025, at 0900 hours, dispatch requested that I contact victim of a recent hit and run that
occurred at the intersection of SW 7th St and Hardie Ave SW, in the city of Renton, county of king, and State of
Washington.The reporting party, later identified as Sharon V. Sever 09/23/1954, stated a white Lexus SUV fled
after colliding with her vehicle.
Upon contact, Sharon explained she was at the intersection of Hardie Ave SW and SW 7th St. She was stopped
in the left turn lane waiting for the traffic signal to change. As she waited, a newer white SUV struck the back
of her vehicle. Sharon described the driver as a light skin female (possibly a Hispanic female).The driver failed
to exchange information and fled the scene instead.The driver was last seen running the red traffic light to
travel south on Hardie Ave SW and then Rainier Ave S.
Sharon stated that the vehicle was a newer Lexus (unknown plate). I asked if the vehicle had any identifying
features, and Sharon said no.
Sharon spoke with 2 witnesses identified as Brian Deacy and Braydon Goucher who are coworkers for Public
Works for the city of Renton.
I spoke with both of them, and they relayed a similar story. Both stated that a newer Lexus SUV struck Sharon
from behind.The driver of that vehicle then fled the location towards Rainier Ave S.They cannot identify the
driver of the SUV and were not able to gather the vehicles license plate.
I checked Renton's Flock camera system.Although multiple Lexus's were located, none matched the
description given during the time of the collision.
At this time there is no further information or suspect information.
I provided Sharon with my contact information and case number.
