Type:Traffic Collision
On 08-29-2025 at approximately 1414 hours, 1 was dispatched to a traffic collision near the intersection of S 15
th St and S Puget Dr in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. Dispatch advised the collision
resulted from a possible road rage incident and both vehicles were now in the parking lot of the Renton Plaza.
I arrived on scene at approximately 1420 hours.
I contacted the driver of Unit#2, Ronisha R Jones (DOB: 07-15-1994) who told me that she was traveling
westbound on S Puget Dr and stopped for traffic at the intersection.The driver of Unit#1,Joseph A Finley
(DOB: 11-01-1945) exited his vehicle and started pounding on her window. Finley then got back into his
vehicle and hit the rear of her vehicle two times with the front of his vehicle. I did not observe any obvious
dents or other damage to her vehicle. 1 only observed what might have been a new scratch to the plastic lower
portion of the bumper.Jones confirmed to me that was a new scratch.
According to Finley he lives near the Cascade Park in the 16000 block of 128th Ave SE. He was in his yard when
he observed Jones throw garbage out of her vehicle into his yard.This upset him so he jumped into his car and
followed her until she stopped at the red light for traffic. When he exited his vehicle in a hurry he did not
completely get the vehicle into "Park".The vehicle was in "Reverse"which caused his vehicle to hit her vehicle
at a low speed. Finley said in a panic when he got back into his vehicle he placed the vehicle into "Drive"
causing it to hit her vehicle a second time. Finley stated he never had any intentions of hitting her vehicle with
his vehicle.
Due to the vehicles being stopped on a downhill slope it possible that Finley is telling me the truth about how
his vehicle hit her vehicle the first time.
