Officer Narrative
Narrative
Unless otherwise noted, all events took place in the City of Renton, in the County of King, in the State of
Washington.
This incident was captured on my body worn video camera and in-car cameras.This report is a summary of
events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
On 9/3/2025, at approximately 2006 hours I was dispatched to a report of a collision at the intersection of SE
Carr Rd and 103rd Ave SE. Dispatch advised 2 motor vehicle collision blocking eastbound lanes.
At approximately 2009 hours I arrived on scene. I contacted both drivers and asked if anyone was injured.
Both parties confirmed there were no injuries. Unit 1 was on stopped in lane 1 of 2 with no visible damage to
the car. Unit 2 was pulled off to the side of the road and appeared o have a flat front right tire with damage to
the rim.
I contacted the Driver of Unit 1. She advised that was driving eastbound on SE Carr RD in lane 2 of 2
approaching 103rd Ave SE.There was a pickup truck in front of her that stopped abruptly to make a
last-minute turn onto 103rd Ave SE. She swerved to the right into lane 1 of 2. She did not see Unit 2 as it was
in her blind spot. She saw Unit 2 swerve to the right to avoid getting struck and hits the curb.
I contacted the driver of Unit 2 and he advised the following. He was driving eastbound on SE Carr RD in lane 1
of 2 approaching 103rd Ave SE. He saw a pickup truck in front of Unit 1 that stopped abruptly to make a
last-minute turn onto 103rd Ave SE.This caused Unit 1 to swerve into lane 1 of 2. Because he was in her blind
spot, she did not see him. He swerved to the right hitting the curb causing damage to his front right tire/rim.
Both parties exchanged info.
