On 9/4/2025 I was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for
the City of Renton. I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run which had occurred in the
intersection of Sunset Blvd N and NE Sunset Blvd Renton/King/WA around 0640 hours. Buzz
Winders-Gaddis DOB: 6/13/1964 was calling to report that he had been involved in a collision in
his white 2023 Ford Transit WA/E1006C, and the other driver fled the scene.
I called Buzz per his request and asked him what happened, he said that he was driving east on
NE Sunset Blvd in the#1 lane approaching Sunset Blvd N. He said that he saw a vehicle in the#2
Lane coming up behind him at a high rate of speed. He said that as he entered the intersection
the other vehicle quickly turned from the#2 lane in front of him attempting to turn south on N
Sunset Blvd.
Buzz said that his front bumper collided with the rear passenger side quarter panel/door area of
the other vehicle. The other vehicle then quickly sped south on N Sunset Blvd.
Buzz described the suspect vehicle as a black, newer model, Dodge Charger or Challenger with
black wheels and no badging. He said that the windows had a dark tint, and he did not see the
driver.
Buzz did not report any injuries and said there was minor damage to his vehicle.
I checked Flock cameras and was not able to locate a matching vehicle in the area near the time
of the collision.
