This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not in exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized. On 9/06/2025 at approximately 0721 hours, I was dispatched to a signal malfunction. The incident occurred at 800 Houser Way N, in the City of Renton, King County, WA. Dispatch said, signal blacked out in intersection, piece of crosswalk signal box also laying in the intersection. At approximately 0727 hours I arrived at the above location. I observed the signals not working. When I got closer, I could see the box laying below the pole. I also noticed the pole appeared to have been hit. I walked over to see if I could reset the lights, but I was unable. I had front counter contact the streets department to come out and get the lights working. I then walked back over to the light on the ground. I could see what appeared to be marks from where a vehicle had jumped the curb two different times, the angle of the marks went directly into the pole. The closer I looked I could tell the pole was bent because the bolts were not straight up and down. There were also some fresh scratch marks on the pole at about the height of a bumper. As I was writing my report, I was made aware of a suspicious vehicle call that was only a few blocks away. I was dispatched to that call at about 0756 hours. As soon as I started to drive, I noticed a trail of fluids on the ground, it appeared to be antifreeze. The route 1 was going to take was the exact route of the call location, which was the intersection of N 10th PL and Garden Ave N. As soon as I turned on to N 10th PL I could see a car parked in the fire lane. The trail went right to the vehicle that was abandoned. The vehicle was a gray 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander bearing NDLP 491EHW. When I looked inside the vehicle, I could see there was no one inside and the driver side front airbags had deployed. There was also severe front-end damage that included an indentation that looked just like it hit a pole at high speed. Bankers Towing arrived and impounded the vehicle. I also filled out a Damage to City Property form and submitted it with my report. I took pictures of the scene and uploaded them as well. At this time there is no suspect information. This ends my involvement.
