Hi Jessie,
I have a couple follow up questions I don’t see in the submittal:
Who is doing the artwork?
• Artist Information:
o Jeff Jacobson, a Seattle-based artist. His portfolio and background are available here:

o The project is being funded by Wizards of the Coast
• Why are they wanting to do it?
Wizards of the Coast, headquartered in Renton, wants to partner with the city to celebrate their
artists, their team, and their connection to the local community. The design builds on Renton’s
iconic rooftop dragon, reimagining his “secret lair” as the central theme. It’s both a celebration of
fantasy and a showcase of artistry.
• What is the mural intended to represent?
The mural is intended to highlight Renton’s unique tie to Wizards of the Coast and its creative
culture, while also celebrating the city’s identity as a place where imagination, community, and
art thrive. It symbolizes the intersection of fantasy and reality, inviting residents and visitors to see
Renton as a home to creativity and wonder.
