On 09/10/2025 at approximately 1936 hours, I was dispatched to a hit and run report that occurred at Safeway,
4300 NE 4th St, within the city of Renton, King County, state of Washington. The victim was later verbally
identified as CYNTHIA M. TRAN (DOB: 04/17/1994) and her vehicle was later identified as 2023 SUBARU
CROSSTREK(WA: CHX8880).
I contacted Cynthia using my department-issued cellphone. In summary, at approximately 1800 hours, Cynthia
was near the Safeway gas pumps when another vehicle reversed into her vehicle. Cynthia was the sole
occupant of her vehicle, and she was not injured. Cynthia sustained damage to her rear left bumper. She
estimated that it would cost approximately$2000 to repair the damages.
Cynthia described the suspect vehicle as a red unknown make and model SUV. Cynthia proceeded to knock on
the suspect's vehicle to signal them to exit and exchange information, but the suspect ignored her and drove
away westbound on NE 4th St. Cynthia described the suspect driver as a white male, approximately 60 years of
age, with white hair. Cynthia stated that she was willing to assist in prosecution if the suspect was identified. In
parting, I provided her with the case number.
Based upon the totality of the circumstances, the suspect committed hit and run attended. The suspect collided
with Cynthia's vehicle, ignored her attempts to exchange information, and then fled the scene.
I checked Flock Safety for potential suspect vehicles but there were too many red SUVs on the road, and not
enough information to narrow down the results. I am forwarding this case to Traffic Detectives for follow-up. This
concludes my involvement on today's date.
