per your request of the 27th, I'm transmitting one copy of the Sewer loading study
that I had previously transmitted to the City on June 16, 1976, As I recall, at
that time the City was cOnterned about the ab lity of the sewer system in the down
town area to hand]# the additional flows.
We ran a 2a hour check on the sewage flow from Empire Estates to see how the flow
rate from apartments would va-v throughout the
Empire Estates was twofoldilht's a large complex Similar torwhat would of lbetco strut-
ted; and (2) the pwmped sewage discharge made it sister to measure the flows.
The point of this study was to determine what the flow rate would be after 8 a.m.
aS it was believed that the downtown sewer system with primarily business and
comwtrciml Connections would have peak flows during the 8 to 5 period. As the
attachW graph shows, the peak flow from apartments occurs about ' a.m.
