Dear Mr. Davis:
I have reviewed your above mentioned project and would like to advise you
of its status.
The majority of the work identified during my inspection on January l0,
1983 has been completed. The as built drawings have been completed and
the two year maintenance bond for the 18" sanitary sewer has been pro-
vided.
You still need to provide the deed from PSP&L Co. for the extension of
Powell Ave. S.W. to S.W. Grady Way. Also, there are miscellaneous minor
items which your contractor needs to correct which can be handled during
the maintenance period. A one year maintenance bond in the amount of
$70.000 is required to cover the road and utility improvements other than
the sanitary sever mentioned above. You need to provide Bills of Sale.
Material Inventories, and Cost Data for the sanitary sewer and water lines.
After these items have been completed, your performance bond in the amount
of $970,000 can be reduced to $100.000.
The $100,000 is to secure your responsibilities for the work on the Traffic
signals at Hardie Ave. S.W. and S.W. 7th ..t. and S.W. Grady Way and Powe'.i
Ave. S.W.
If there are any discrepancies in the work that has or has not yet been
completed please advise. If I can be of any further assistance , please
advise.

This letter will summarize the following points discussed in our telephone
conversation of January 27th:

A 12 inch water main crosses over the top of the sewer just east
of NH8 and the depth is not shown on the profile.
Sheet 6
A 12 inch water main crosses over the to( of the sewer just east of
MH11 and the depth is not shown oT the profile.

Toe north end of the 12 inch sanitary sewer line at the drainage
di*.rh will rnnuire a MH. however, if the line is to be extended
at some future date; a cleanout will suffice. Also the a inch
water lines to the blowoff valves need tc be shown on the profile
where they pass over the sewer.

The plugged end of the 10 inch sanitary sewer line at the north end
cf Powell Avenue will not require a MH or cleanout because there will
be no tributary side sewers to this section. Also, the length of the
10 inch line between MH11 and MH12 is 430.50 feet whi,:h exceeds the
normally used 400 foot maximum. Because the City of Renton will own,
operate, and m:,intain this system and has the capability to clean this
line; we will not require closer manhole spacing. As with sheet 7,
the B inch water lines to the blowoff valves need to be shown on the
profile where they pass over the sewer.

Appdrently the City of Renton standards require 48 inches of cover over
water mains 12 inches and larger and 3b inches of cover over water lines
10 inches and smaller. Although it appears that there is sufficient
clearance from final grade, the crossings still need to be shown on the
profiles.
As was agreed in our telephone conversation, we will approve the project
as Gaon as we receive two copies of the revised plans. If you have any
