Dear Mr. 3ergstrom:
The &Ing County Council in regular session an Septerrter 16. 19b5 passed Notion No.
11344, authorizinc the County Executive to enter into a contract with the City of
Renton, to install, maintain and operate sewer lines.
A letter dated September 16th was sent nctifying you of the necessity to have an
official of the City of Renton, Public Works Department to corm into this office
and sign the copies of the franchise indicating acceptance of the terns of the
franchise before Cctober 17, 1985.
On Cctober 16th, a phone call was made to the Public works Department rerrinding
your secretary that you had until the 17th of Octoter to coiu� in.
Despite both attempts, the franchise copies were nct signed by October 17th.
We regretfully inform you that troth the franchise and Notion No. 6344 are horeby
null and void.

SUBJECT: City of Renton - libbits/Unierwood Annexation
Dear Mr. Martin:
It has cane to our attention that King County Public Works, Surface
Water Management Division, has asked that a portion of the proposed annex-
ation have a drainage requirement imposed.
The proposed requirement for developments discharging to May Creek control
uur-off at a 5/25 rate, is acceptable to the City.
In fact, the City and King County jointly funded in 1977 the "Mmy Creek
Rdsin Plan," a regional storm manageimrit plan. The policies proposed in
the report (photo copies attached) have been jointly aropted by both
Lhe City and the County.
The City of Renton has been implementing, on a phased basis, portions
of the plan within our corporate limits. For example, on the Figure a28,
1 have highlighted in Green, the projects done this year within our City
limits.
The city Department of Public Works has no proulem implementing the King
County proposed run-off requirements. 1 would propose that the Boundary
Review Board waive jurisdiction on the annexation. Please contact nIe if

Dear Chris:
Please find enclosed the plans for the Duvall Ave. N.e. Sanitary
Sewer Extension f0- a King Cocrty Franchise and Permit.
This project is a new R' sanitary sever to eliminate the existing
Eastwood Park pump station and convey the sewage by gravity flow
to the main City sewers.
The project is being funded by City Sewer funds and no assess-
ments will he levied against adjacent properties; however, there
will be a latecomer connection charge.
No sanitary sewer earvice will be allowed to King County prop-
ertiaa, as per City Council rules, except upon annexation.
1 hace enclosed three copies of the construction plans, legal
descriptions, vicinit; map and a check for $200.00 as processing
fee.
