SCOPE OF WORK
The work involved under the terms of this contract document shall be full and
complete installation of the utilities as shown on the Plans and in the
Specifications; to include, but not be limited to: excavation, backfill and
compaction, .nstallation and testing of approximately 1600 lineal feet of 18-
inch diameter sewer main in Shattuck Avenue South between South 4th Street
and South 7th Street. The work shall include all manholes, tees, side
sewers, connection to existing sewers, the removal and ',alvage of the
existing manholes, and the complete restoration of all surfaces and existing
underground utilities.
All contractors participating in the work on this project shall comply with
all Federal, State, County, and City Codes and Regulations applicable to such
work and in conformance with the Plans and Specifications.
The City of Renton reserves the right to award either Schedule "A" OR
Schedule "A-Alternate" with either Schedule "B" OR Schedule "B-Alternate."
The City also reserves the right to modify any of the quantities without
having to renegotiate the item cost.

Sealed bids will be received until 2:30 p.m. , Wed. January 21, 1987 at the
City Clerk's office and will be opened and publicly read in the 4th floor
conference room, Renton Municipal Building, 200 Mill Ave. South.
The work to be performed within 60 working dLys from the date of
commencement under this contract shall include, but not be limited to:
Excavation, backfill and compaction, and installation and testing of an 18"
sanitary sewer in Shattuck Avenue South from South 7th Street to South 4th
Street.
The ;ity reser,es the right to re,je.:t any and/or all ,ids and to waive any
and/or all informalities.
4pproved plans and specifications and form of contract documents may be
obtained at the Public Works Department office at the Renton Municipal Building
for a deposit of $25.00 each set plus $ 5.00 to cover postage, if mailed.
.0 certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total
amount of each bid must accompany each bid.
