We also understand from Dave Tlboot that letter notification of the project has vet to be sent to the affected property owners along the project route and that this may be the responsibility of the contractor. The owner of the Old Milwaukee Substation building (45O Shattuck Avenue South) has recently expressed a concern to us that he was unaware of the interceptor project, or any of the potential impacts from a contractor's trench dewatering effort. Our soils subconsultant, Converse Consultants N.N., notes that although a one-inch to two-inch settlement is expected at the trench due to dewatering, they strongly advise that close mcnitoring of the brick building be undertaken to uncover any siqns of either vertical or horizontal movements. We would also suggest that the same be accomplished at the railroad tracks. Continued on Page 2. winsasiss,Rao 6409aMxlw,ha. We also suggest that an information letter be sent to all property owners affected by the project as soon as information and details are known. We will be willing to assist in preparation of the letter. The owner of the Old Milwaukee Substation building has specifically requested such a letter.
