Puget Power stated that trenching policy has changed. The development contractor must perform trenching for buried power lines. 3. Puget Power stated that one of tSe electrical vaults installed for Renton Ridge Phase I is settling. According to KBI, Puget Power over-excavated this vault by three feet and did not compact fill in place. This is why vault is settling. 4. Puget Power needs Architectural and Electrical drawings for project to coordinate transformer locations. Page - 1 i 46, I 5. Puget Power expressed concern about depth of electrical conduit installed from PhaSr ! I to Phase 11. KBI staled that conduit is over 3' deep. _ 6. KB: will mark preferred transformer locations on drawings. 7. The electrical sub-ontractor will be Courtesy Electric. 8. One existing house will be moved. Puget Power cautioned cortractors to use care when disconnecting electric service. 9. Puget Power will need general information on electrical loads. i 10. Power installation will all be on-site. Power originates in Phase 1. Power plans are not here yet. 11. U.S. Wes( telephone did not have a representative at the Preconstruction Conference. The telephone lines will probebly be in the same trench as the power conduits. RENTON FIRE DEPT, 1. The City requires the submittal of technical literature on the 2-1/2' DDCVA + assembly. `r 'r 2. Fire Prevention requirements are the same as in Phase 1. Hydrants must be installed and accepted prior to framing buildings. 3. Access roads rist be installed and maintained prior to building construction. 4. The Fire Dept. performs inspection and testing of water line from DDCVA assembly to riser in building. Contractor should tail Fire Prevention Office to schedule inspection and testing. Pressure test is 2 hours long at 200 psi. 5. When line has passed pressure test, a :ull volume flush must be performed using 2- 1/2' fire hose with a gunny sack on the end. 6. Will there be an on-site fuel tank? Answer is 'Yes', the same fuel tank as is currently on site. KBI asked whether another fuel tank permit is required for Phase 11. Answer is "No" if tank remains in same location. ; 7. Phase 11 fire prevention system is a plastic system. Per Jim Gray, this system wi'I be required to meet same tests as other systems. S. No on-site burning is allowed. WATER., 1. The water pressure test is now 2 hour duration. Pressure is 50 psi over static, 200 -si minimum 2. Once hydrants are in service, they need to be maintained. Maintain access to hydrants and perform repairs as needed. Developer is responsible for this. 3. ]'his Citv does not use carp. stops anvmore. Use MJ plugs on crosses rather than blind flanges. Page - 2 1 e i sSill;'. 4. Inspectors are to inspect all thrust blocks before backfill. 5. City will perform two waterline connections. Contractor must supply materials and properly shore trench, 6. The City is trying to get away from City crews operating chlorination Dump. This should be performed by contractor. y 7. Water meter applications should be in at least one week in advance. STORM DRAINAGE 1. The temporary erosion control facility must be in place before clearing and grubbing. 2. Rick Kokko will perform inspection during Elmer Shaver's absence. 3. Construction can be started upon day following issuance of construction permit. Call for inspector at 277-5570. 4. Developer asked if they could change design on oil;water separators. They propose using MH sections instead of prefabricated risers to bring cover of the 0-foot deep st- ^cure to the surface. City response is that developer should submit, through the eng.neer, detail of proposal and structural calculations verifying it will take the load. Submittal should include statement stamped by P.':, that this design will work for this application. The City will turn this around in 1-2 days. 5.
