the referenced project, we are enclosing our check in
the amount of $3250.00 to be used as a security deposit
until weather permits seal coating of the Renton Nigh
School parking lot. The approximate area to be seal
coated is 41, ' sq,
after school is ft. and will be done this summer out an-= anther permits. We understand
You will hold this $32', 00 until the seal coating is
complete and release is obtained from the Renton School

SUBJECT: 1985 CBD Sewer Trunk
Replacement CAG 048-85
A meeting was held on site at the Re,.ton High School Parking area,
which is located on the west side of the building. Those present at the
meeting were Bill Belmondo, Renton School District; Paul Noble, Tri-State
Construction Co. and yself.
The following is what was discussed at this meeting.
Tri-State Construction will obtain, a price from a paving contractor to
fog seal the parking lot to the satisfaction of the Renton School District.
Renton School Di-`rict agrees to pay half of the cost for this work. It
was agreed upon Lhi' this work could not be done until Sur-Ieror when
school is out.
I t 'd Paul Noble of Tri-State that we would need a letter of their intention
to do this work, and once we new what the work was going to cost, we could
then release the retainage, provided they write us a check for this amount,
and once the work is done we would release the check.

The bid opening for .he subject project was held on July 2, 1985. A
tabulation of the bids receivee s attached hereto.
Tne project is budgeted for S311,000.00 in the 1984 - 85 Water 8 Sewer
Construction Fund. Because of delayed CIP project work adequate funds
are available for this project.
It is recommended that the low bid, submitted by Tri-State Construction,
Inc. , in the amount of $344,061.60, be accepted and the contract for
the subject project be awarded to said contractor.

1985 CBD Sewer Trunk Replacement Project
TO ALL PLANHOLDERS:
You are hereby notified ..f the following addition to the 1985 CBD Sewer
Trunk Replacement Project.
The Schedule of Prices for Schedule "A" is modified in accordance with the
attached Schedule of Prices.
Also, in order to assist the contractor in meeting his performance deadline
of August 31, 1985, for installation of that portion of the main between
S. 2nd St. and Tobin Ave. S., the City is fast tracking the award procedure.
The award of the contract by the Council, if everything is in order h Rh the
bids, is scheduled for duly R, 1985, with the contractor beinq able to start
as soon as he is able to provide all the necessary contract documents and
execute same.
All bidders shall acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this AAdendun 01 by
signing in the space provided in the 'Schedule of Prices". Bids submitted
without signed acknowledgement of this addendum will be considered invalid.

The Contractor shall begin, as the first order of work, the installation and
completion of the sewer line from South 2nd Street to South Tobin Street,
including side sewers, tie-ins, testing, and complete restoration.
1-08.5 TIME OF COMPLETION
It is essential and mandatory that the contractor complete the installation of
that portion of the contract between South 2nd Street and South Tobin Street by
August 31, 1985.
1-08.9 LI UIDATED DAMAGES
For failure to complete this portion of the contract by August 31, 1985, there
will be a one thousand dollar ($1,000) per calendar day penalty charged beginning_

September 1, 1985, until such time this work is complete. The remainder of the
contract shall follow the standard liquidated damage schedule as set forth in

meeting held June 6, 1985, approved the sanitary sewer easement requested
on the west side of Renton High School for the purpose of replacing the
existing unsatisfactory sewer line.
Enclosed are the signed documents. We would like a copy of the easement
for our files once it has been recorded. Upon completion of the project
it is understood that the old easement granted in 1943 wil be vacated by
the City,

Renton High School
Dear Hill:
The City of Penton is requesting an additional sanitary sewer easement
west of its existing easement so that a replacement line can .,e
installed without taking the existing line out of service.
Once the new line is installed, tested, and accepted, it will be
placed into service and the existing line will be plugged and
abandoned in place.
After the conversion has taken place, the City will prepare and
execute a Release of Easement for returning the rights granted under
the existing easement to the underlying property owner, which in
this case is the school district.
I hope this answers your questions regarding how the transfe- and
