NARRATIVE
Date &Time: On or about August 6, 2025, at approximately 11:30 AM Location: Exit from Interstate 1-405 onto Rainier
Avenue South, near the intersection with Southwest Grady Way Weather Conditions: Temperature approximately 65F; mostly
cloudy with light drizzle Description of Incident: While approaching a red traffic light at the intersection of Rainier Avenue
South and Southwest Grady Way, I was traveling in the center-right lane with no vehicles directly ahead of me. I observed a
significant backup in the left-turn lane. When the traffic signal turned green for both the left-turn and forward lanes, I
proceeded straight through the intersection.Suddenly, a black SUV traveling in the left lane attempted to merge into my lane
and sideswiped my vehicle. After the collision, the SUV remained behind me and continued to follow my vehicle. We
approached another intersection with a red light, where both vehicles came to a complete stop. At that point, the driver of the
SUV exited his vehicle and approached mine. He asked, "What happened, bro?" I responded, explaining that I had the right of
way and that his vehicle had merged into my lane, causing the collision. As the light turned green, I instructed him to pull into
the parking lot of the Super Supplements store so we could exchange insurance information and discuss the incident further.
While I was making a U-turn to enter the parking lot, I observed the SUV continue driving forward instead of pulling over to
the instructed parking lot, apparently fleeing the scene. I was unable to capture the license plate number or identify the make
and model of the vehicle.Driver Description:-African American male- Estimated age: late 20s-Appeared impaired; speech
was slurred and mumbled
