The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"both on the front, back, and
department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro
badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a
Police Officer.
On 9/11/2025 at 1203 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run report that occurred at around the 200
block of Morris Ave S on 09/07/2025.
1 called the owner of Unit 1, identified as Charmi N. Robles Quinones (DOB: 09/27/1991), and asked
what happened. Robles informed me that he had parked his 2011 Chevrolet Suburban (WA LP:
BXA7785) on the side of the street at around the 200 block of Morris Ave S on that day at an
unknown time and when he returned to his vehicle he saw that the drivers side mirror was damaged
and that there was a note left on his vehicle.
The note stated that there was a large white box truck that had struck the drivers side mirror and
continued driving from the location. The witness took a photo of the truck which was a 2003 GMC
Savana (WA LP: D62635C). I called the witness, identified as Edson R. Vargas Hernandez (DOB:
03/24/1992), and he stated that he did not see the driver of the box truck and would not be able to
ID the driver.
Per a check of law enforcement databases, 1 was able to locate a phone number for the registered
owner of the Savana who was identified as Samuel J. Scharf(DOB: 04/20/1971) per WA DOL. I called
twice and let a voicemail for Scharf.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.

At this time, there is nobody that is able to identify a suspect in this case and Robles was filing this
report for insurance purposes.
