All blocking must be inspected by a City inspector prior to backhll. 5. Leads that exceed 50 feet in length shall be 8'. - 6. Call 911 if the watermain needs to be shut off (emergency only). All other water mains or valves shut down, call Renton Water Department at 235-2646. 7. Fuel- any temporary gmelte fuel supplies must be permitted through Fire Prevention. No fuels will be stored on-sae per Denny Mellott. WATER 1. Seaport Underground, Denny Metal 1255-8279) is the utiNty contractor. 2. Pipe materials, valves, fittings shall be as indicated in the standard notes. The contract will install all of the watermain except the connection. All connections to existing mains to be accomplished by the City of Renton. All necessary excavation, shoring, and materials, to be supplied by the contractor and be on-site prior to City notification, 4. All blocking must be inspected before backfilhng. Thrust _cks must be formed. Concrete used must be delivered to the job (no on-site mixesl. In the street and in all crossings, the City requires 5,8- minus rock backfill. Compaction test may be required. 5. Procedure for cleaning! Pipe cleaning shall be by poly pigging through vertical crosses. All services shall be pressure tested to a minimum of 200 psi or 150 over operating pressure IstaMl for 2 hours. Chlorinate for 24 hours, using liquid chlorine and chlorine pump assembly. Tilk to the inspector to schedule chlorinating. They need a week (5 working days)advance notice. Flushing shall be drained into the sanitary. Water purity tests are taken to the laboratory on Wednesday. Contractor shall arrange courier for any other day. 6. Where conflict exists, the water shall go under other utilities, however, no water mains shall be under more than 6 feet of cover. 7. Final acceptance shall be after final walk through inspection, adjustment of all structures and approval of •s-builts, cost data inventory, 8. The contractor, as well as the engineer, sh311 keep as-built drawings. All changes shall be shown on as-L•uilts. As-buirs shall be per City specifications. For any field changes, if minor, give City a shop drawing Iby FAX1235 2541); if major, need a day or two to review and approve. Field inspector can not give approval in field for construction changes. SANITARY SEWER. 1. All pipes and materials shall be per approved plan. r.
