Narrative
During this incident, I was equipped with a body-worn camera, which records both audio and video. Portions of
this incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an exact
transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured with the recording system. I was
operating an marked Police Silverado C315 which was equipped with undercover emergency lights and sirens.
Case Number 25-8164
On 09/19/2025 at approximately 2001 hours, I was notified by Officer Kauppila that he was involved in a minor
collision at the police department at 1055 S Grady Way within the City of Renton, King County,Washington.
Officer Kauppila advised he was on the east side of the P2 parking garage traveling south in his patrol vehicle
B316 WA/XMT67614D while another car was traveling north. He said he believed there was more room on the
passenger side of the vehicle as he passed the other vehicle but scraped a pole, causing very minor cosmetic
damage to the rear passenger's side fender. A picture of the damage was uploaded to AXON.
