Jeff,
Thank you for your comments on the West African Community Center (LUA24-000390). As I previously
communicated to you, I have added you as a party of record, so you will receive copies of
correspondence from the City on this project, this includes any recommendations or decisions that are
sent out. I understand that you have concerns with regards to parking, as part of our review, we will be
reviewing the project for compliance with the City’s adopted parking regulations.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have additional questions.
Thanks,

Jill
Thanks for the information. I will be out of town in the first half of October with limited internet access so
may not be able to attend the meeting. My main concern is parking. S 4th already receives major congestion
from St Anthony. The intersections onto S 4th have experienced reduced visibility due to encroached parking
up next to the intersections making it difficult to see as drives attempt to turn onto S 4th. Between houses
being turned into multiple housing units, property owners building mother-in-law type rental units and
growing downtown events such as the Farmers Market and the Civic Theater there is ever growing demand on
the available street parking. 505 S 4th has parking space around it, but my understanding is that space is not
owned by the building and there is no guarantee that it will be made available. It is a large building, and its
size alone means that it has the potential of generating a lot of traffic and that traffic/parking needs to be
taken into accounts in the planning.
Thanks
